Report on the Academic Year Opening Programme

Dear all former Tana Haik Students

Our plan to reward and give recognition for best students of the school has been successfully accomplished. Members in Bahir Dar availed themselves in the opening ceremony by representing all of us and rewarded the students. Birr amount of 3100 was withdrawn from our account for this purpose. The reward was given for top female and male students from every batch.

On the ceremony, our members forwarded message for the students and teachers about the alumni group and future plans. Here we want to thank Mastewal Alemu for her devotion to organize all former batches in Bahir Dar to make the event beautiful. Our special thank also goes to Kebele 4 former students for the book donation they made for the library. Alumni members abroad promised to enhance the reward and raise it to further scholarships.

Next upcoming event will be in November. Our member Dawit Gezahegne from USA with other members in Bahir Dar  will organize a seminar.  Dawit will make a speech about his PHD paper and give statistical data on Tana Haik. We will provide further information about the exact time and place when we know more about it.
