We will send you editable format of the flyer.  We are currently gathering information about the shipping processes with some of our members. DATE – July 8,2010  at 19:00 time zone (GMT + 3)  1:00 evening Ethiopian local time

The meeting was coordinated by our members in Finland, Europe. Participants were any volunteer through out the world to talk about memories in Tana Haik School. It was very successful meeting and we invite every one in our next meeting on July 22,2010 on the same time. On our get together, besides the funny memories, we discussed some important issues for the school (kumneger). We will try to present the points in short.

1. We discussed about the continuity of the group and synchronize all batches of the school and took assignment to communicate new members and explain the aim of the group briefly for new members.
2. Propose for the administration of the school to arrange one room to open new library with the name of Former Students and try to fulfill all matrials by our members. Mastewal Alemu was doing on it and Tewodros Tesera will take the assignment for the follow up with her.
3. The collected money in USA and from members attended the get together is more than $600. Getinet Worku who is living in Dallas,TX took the assignment to send directly to the bank account in Bahir Dar.NOTE: WE NEED MORE MONEY TO ACHIVE OUR PLANS any one can send message to Getinet or Misganaw if you need any donation before sending to Ethiopia.
4. We proposed the money collected to cover one of our plan that is to get new internet service for the school. One of our members Nasir Adem is working in Ethiotelecom-Bahir Dar, he will let us know the total expense for new internet service for students and teachers. He will post the cost break down of the total expense and we will go to action soon.
5. We discussed about the means of communication to reach most of former students and using Mass medias for the big meetings and get togethers (coordinators in Addis abeba were trying to announce by Sheger FM their next meeting). Text message is the best option to reach our members Abroad and in Ethiopia so Tsedale Tekilehaimanot proposed the google xl sheet to save the group member contact address which was posted on the wall of the group. Misganaw Birhan and Tenager Bekalu took the responsibility.
6. The group website, email address and accounts should be well known by the members and everyone should be alert about other fake accounts and should be curious about the donation issue and Solomon Nurga,Tenager Bekalu and Tewodros Tesera took the assignment to design a website, email and facebook account.
7. For easy transfer and get rid of some processes of donation  the best option is open regional combined account in USA and Europe so Lealemselam and Misganaw Birhan will check the processes to open new abank account in Bank of America and Europe Banks and they will tell us the progress on it on the next meeting.
8. Brian storming session on how to create and keep the membership feeling was done.  An idea to present membership ID or a text “I was in Tana Haik” printed on items like bracelet, coffee mugs, t-shirts…etc  charms members with a membership feeling. This idea was raised by Tenager Bekalu and he will go through it by contacting the group admins and other people in Bahir Dar and Addis Ababa.
9. About the processes of shipping items like boxes of books, computers and others from USA will be facilitated by Abebe Getahun and he will proceed on this issue by contacting people in DC,USA  and Ethiopia.
10. Annual programs by the name of the group like Question and Answers competition between current students, Dinner Night for teachers and thanks giving programs and other presentation like First aid training by former tana haik students who are medical Doctors. This issue is very important to motivate the current students and techers. This will be organized by our members Dr Amin Aman, Dr Abesolom and Dr Samuel Alemaw and they will facilitate with other members for the next academic year.
11. Finally the next skyp meeting though out the world will be on July 22,2010  at  19:00 time zone (GMT + 3)  1:00  or Ethipian local time 1:00  evening  at the group skyp address tana-94 any volunteer can attend the conference from anywhere. Misganaw Birhan will take the assignment to announce before on week.
